Lindsey + Corbin | Engagement

Wow! Sorry I have been a little MIA with the blogs for awhile, so here we go with a bit of catching up! Up first, the sweet Lindsey & Corbin Henningsen. This couple exudes kindness & love, and they were naturals behind the camera! My favorite comment from my couples before we start is, "We have no idea what we're doing so you're going to have to help us," & then they come out & completely slay!

Also, I have good news, Lindsey & Corbin's wedding will be soon to come on the blog! I can't wait to share it with you all!

Maddie | Bridals

This is Miss Maddie Hayes, now Mrs. Fairchild! Maddie girl has my heart, y'all. She is the essence of joy, happiness, servant hood, compassion, and a perfect example of Jesus love. The day we choose to do her bridals was right in the middle of July and it was stifling outside. We had a few fans in the greenhouse circulating air, but I was still sweating bullets. Maddie, on the other hand, continued to look flawless through the entire session (praises that I got to stay on the other side of the camera)!

Maddie and her sweet mom were even forgiving and laughed with me when I got us locked out of the greenhouse, WITH all of our things still inside and Maddie in full wedding attire. This is real life, people. I make mistakes, but I am so thankful for clients that just go with the flow and forgive me in moments like that.

The good news is we got back in the greenhouse (shout out to the kind security guard). And I think the shoot was a huge success, because look at her! How cute is she?

Also, stay tuned for Colton and Maddie's wedding blog coming soon!

OU Theta | Senior

So the cute little blonde on the far right is my cousin, Hayden. You might remember her from her senior shoot a couple months ago.

Hayden was a Theta at OU and that is where she met these sweet girls. This shoot was especially cool for me because I was a Theta at OSU, and I am so grateful for the friends it put in my path. I never ever in a million years thought I'd be in a sorority, but I do believe God had a purpose for me being there and I wouldn't trade it for anything.

These girls were so kind, fun, and had a go-with-the-flow attitude! They made me look good and took me on the grand tour of OU's campus. It wasn't so bad after all...

Three things will last forever—faith, hope, and love—and the greatest of these is love.

Lexi + Kyle | Senior

I apologize for being MIA the last couple of weeks, but I'm back!

And I'm starting it off with this fun senior shoot. This sweet girl and I were in Theta together once upon a time, and what a joy it was to get to hang out with her and Kyle and catch up on life. Lexi and Kyle both studied Fire Protection and Safety (I hope I got that right) at OSU and are now moving to Houston to pursue their careers! They're studs.

Lexi is the embodiment of sweet southern class and Kyle adores that about her. Lexi had contacted me about taking her senior photos and I jumped on the opportunity, because duh... Look how cute she is! When I met Lexi in Stillwater she informed me that her boyfriend was going to tag along because she wanted him to have at least one senior photo, for his mom, of course. (I told ya, she's so thoughtful.)

Congrats you two on graduating, and best wishes as you pursue your careers! Kyle, I hope your mom enjoyed the senior pictures. Lex, you're a doll and a joy to be around!

Ryan + Baylie | Wedding

On a rainy Saturday in March, Baylie Berninger became Mrs. O'Kelly. Baylie was the epitome of a relaxed bride. You could tell she was just happy to be getting married to the man of her dreams. Ryan was equally eager to be marrying sweet Baylie, which was made even more evident with his response to seeing the bride walk down the aisle.

Not only were they excited to be getting married, but they were also excited to celebrate their new life together as one. With lots of fun bridesmaids, groomsmen, and family the couple two-stepped their way into their life together. A fitting way to start their new life together, since that is also how they met.

Big shout out to the lovely couple for trusting me to capture their big day and first moments together as a married couple! I pray that God blesses your marriage far beyond what you could every hope or dream!

Love you guys.

Price + Mallory | Proposal

This was no ordinary proposal. My sweet friend Price text me about a month ago asking if I could shoot his and his girl friend, Mallory's, senior photos... but there was one more detail, he wanted to end the session with a proposal! Obviously, I was more than excited to be a part of this very special moment.

We had so much fun running around campus taking senior pictures. Mallory even made a joke about this being the perfect time to propose. Luckily, I didn't hear her say it or I would have totally been awkward, per usual.

Once we got the Theta Pond, where Price wanted to propose, I found the perfect spot with the best lighting. We took a few pictures there and then I said the code sentence that let Price know I was ready, "Price, you have a goofy smile. Try again."

THEN IT HAPPENED!

Mallory was so legitimately surprised. When Price got down on one knee, she shoved him and told him to stop joking (apparently, Price has played this joke before). As soon as he pulled out the ring, she realized this was not a joke! The proposal ended with sweet happy tears, lots of hugs, and of course showing off the ring.

Thank you guys for letting me be apart of this very special moment. Congratulations on your upcoming graduation. Oh, and... GO POKES!

Michelle | Senior

Ya'll, this is Michelle. She might be one of the coolest people I've ever met. She was adopted from Russia when she was a baby, she loves cold weather, and she has played the violin since she was in 4th grade! Michelle is attending OU in the fall, and I can't wait to see what college life has in store for her. Congratulations, Michelle!

The funny thing was she told me stories about not liking to take pictures. However, after about five pictures she was a natural! We had so much fun taking these pictures, and I hope ya'll enjoy.

Hayden | Senior

She is my cousin, my sister, my friend, my encourager, and my number one fan. Sweet Hayden. I could probably go on for hours about how awesome she is. Hayden is a senior at Oklahoma University (I love her anyway), and she plans on going to grad-school in the fall! I could not be more proud of her or more honored to call her my friend/cousin.

Also, this is a warning in advance that she will most likely be appearing multiple times on my social medias from here on out. Although we've been scheming it for years, we will finally be roommates (God, bless her soul). I can't wait for this next season of life with this chick. She also makes a pretty dang cute model, so that helps!

Tanner + Jalee | Engagement

Jalee and I had been emailing for weeks trying to plan a day to take pictures. When she and her fiancé showed up in the city to meet me, I knew Tanner looked familiar. Come to find out, he's from the Vian too! I find my world getting smaller and smaller all the time, but I love it!

Once I knew where they were from, I knew they would be up for anything. We went all over the city exploring new places and taking pictures! They were the cutest pair and I could tell every time he looked at her how in love he was, and Jalee lit up every time Tanner smiled. Trust me, it was real cute.

I had such a blast with these two, and I can't wait to see what married life has in store for them!

Ryan + Baylie | Engagement

Baylie and Ryan came to middle-of-nowhere Oklahoma with me this weekend to take some pictures, and we had so much fun! I've never seen a humble hay barn look so romantic and dreamy.

My favorite thing about Ryan and Baylie was there ability to make each other genuinely laugh. I never had to say, "Okay, now let's do something candid. Make each other laugh." They were already having fun together. Genuine giggles get me every time. They have a really special love, and Ryan didn't let Baylie do a twirl or walk without moving every rock out of her way. Chivalry is not dead, people!

Also, huge shoutout to my new eighty year old friend, Louise, for letting us use her super quaint barn. I love small towns.

The Girl Behind the Camera

Hi guys! So I realized I hadn't really introduced myself yet on my blogs, so here it goes!

My names is Maggie Moriah Rogers and I grew up in a small beautiful lake town called Vian, Oklahoma.

I love raspberry chai lattes (try one. It'll change your life), guitars, Michael Jordan, going on adventures, the lake, letters, church camps, chips and queso, and laughing so hard that I'm not actually even making noise anymore.

I also love art.

I have a crazy supportive family who loves to encourage me in my dreams to pursue art. And guess what? Here I am doing just that. I work as a jeweler and jewelry designer in Moore, Oklahoma. I work at an amazing locally owned store called Lewis Jewelers. I haven't been there over a year and the people I work with already feel like my family.

Growing up, I can't remember a vacation, special event, or first day of school that my dad didn't have his camera in his hand. He is very right brained, but becomes a left brainer when behind the camera. I have grown up taking pictures with him my entire life and have decided recently to make my hobby a little more professional.

So this brings us to this blog. My amazing employers at Lewis Jewelers have recently given me the opportunity to combine my two loves. These are a few pieces that we make and sell at the store.

I love what I do, because whether it's selling jewelry or doing photography I'm usually getting to help someone mark a monumental moment in their life.

God has been so good to me by providing these opportunities. Literally, He's the real MVP.

P.S. If you haven't noticed, I added a new Jewelry tab to my photography page. Keep an eye out. I'll update it with new jewelry and pictures every so often!

P.P.S My bestie Britton Hart just left for France for the semester to study abroad. She is my model and is pictured at the end of this blog. She is also the one taking the pictures of me! S/O to her. Go check her blog out about her semester abroad. bkole.wordpress.com

Andre' + Haley | Engagement Session

Oklahoma rarely gives you snow, and adult life even more rarely gives you a snow day. When you have both, you have to take advantage! This engagement session/adventure was a little extra near and dear to my heart. Haley is my sister, and Andre' is my soon-to-be brother-in-law. It has been such a blast living with Haley and getting to know Andre' a little bit better this past year. Their love for each other is so evident and sweet in these pictures. But, let me tell ya, their love for the people around them is even sweeter!

Love you guys.

Brandon + Sarah | Wedding

I had the awesome opportunity to photograph this beautiful couple's wedding almost a month ago. Sarah and Brandon got married on December 15th and it was the most magical winter wedding. This couple's love for each other is so sweet, and their love for the Lord is even sweeter! I am extremely honored to have been a part of their big day.

A dreamy Wichita Mountain engagement session with the sweet Reagan and Nick. I can't wait for their wedding in just a few short months!
